If you’re a member of NYC Networkers, hopefully you live in NYC. Today’s article on AM New York had a nice front page article on “NYC’s a tech giant…digital industry growing faster than the rest of Big Apple biz”

“…7,000 companies that specialize in software, telecommunications, hardware and other high-tech related services and other high-tech related services had more than 100,000 jobs last year.”

Good thing we picked the right industry! According to the article, tech jobs are “outpacing…other business sectors by a 4-1 pace…” Now they may not be big consulting firms, but SOMEONEs gotta run those wireless APs, ISPs, firewalls, and VoIP setups right? Enter the Network Engineer.

Let this be another reminder for us to not delay your career goals! Networking or IT as a whole isn’t done overnight and takes years to do. But I’ve been seeing a lot of good news lately in our favor!
